做官的人应为肩负天下重任而养身，而不是为私家小利惜身。省却嗜好欲念，减除烦恼忧虑，戒除愤怒，节制饮食，这就是养身。计较得失利益，规避辛劳哀怨，营造住宅房舍，以妻子儿女为重，这就是惜身。养生的人，不妄为而大方；惜身的人，腥膻而琐碎。
