The most important skill for a computer scientist is problem solving. The ability to formulate problems, think creatively about solutions, and express a solution clearly and accurately.

Don't be afraid to change and grow.

Sit down before fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abysses nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.
