生命
Every life is a story, and every story is a life.
El tiempo no es oro, el tiempo es vida.
En cada verso hay un pedazo de mi vida, un fragmento de mi ser que se entrega al mundo.
La literatura nos permite vivir mil vidas y sentir mil emociones.
"A good book is an event in my life."
The essence of literature is to capture the fleeting moments of life.
The unbearable lightness of being.
The worst enemy of life, freedom and the common decencies is total anarchy; their second worst enemy is total power.
"In the end, it is not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years."
To create is to give life to something that did not exist before.
To create is to breathe life into the inanimate.
To create is to breathe life into the lifeless, to give form to the formless.
"The pursuit of pleasure is the only thing that gives life meaning in this meaningless world."
I like the stars. It's the illusion of permanence, I think. I mean, they're always flaring up and caving in and going out. But from here, I can pretend...I can pretend that things last. I can pretend that lives last longer than moments. Gods come, and gods go. Mortals flicker and flash and fade. Worlds don't last; and stars and galaxies are transient, fleeting things that twinkle like fireflies and vanish into cold and dust. But I can pretend.
The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next.
"The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next."
"A good book is an event in my life."
"I must say a word about fear. It is life's only true opponent. Only fear can defeat life."
"The reason death sticks so closely to life isn't biological necessity—it's envy. Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it, a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can."
The great epochs of our life are the occasions when we gain the courage to rebaptize our badness as the best in us.
