在平安无事的日子里，对待小的事情，应当用对待大事一样慎重的态度去对待。因为天地间的道理不分大小，从眼前来看，都有一个邪恶和正当的界限，不能疏忽怠慢，苟且敷衍，必须辨明道理的邪恶和正当而后对待才行；等到意外事故发生时，处理大的事情，需要用处理小事一样平静的心理去处理。因为人世间的事情虽然很大，但从道理看，只有一个正确和错误的区别，不能惊恐张惶，失了主意，只要根据道理的正确和错误去处理就行了。
