约翰·德莱顿

约翰·德莱顿(John Dryden,1631-1700年),英国诗人、剧作家、文学批评家。一生为贵族写作,为君王和复辟王朝歌功颂德,1668 年被封为“桂冠诗人”。著有《时髦的婚礼》、《一切为了爱情》、《阿龙沙与施弗托》、《论戏剧诗》、《悲剧批评的基础》等。被视为主导了复辟时期英格兰的文学生活,以至于这一时期在文学界被称为德莱顿时代。
