普罗泰戈拉智者派的主要代表人物

普罗泰戈拉（Protagoras，约公元前490或480年—前420或410年）公元前5世纪希腊城邦民主政治高度发展，普罗泰戈拉是智者派的主要代表人物。他主张“人是万物的尺度”。普罗泰戈拉约生于公元前490—前480年之间，大约活了70岁。他出生在阿布德拉城，多次来到当时希腊奴隶主民主制的中心雅典，与民主派政治家伯里克利结为挚友，曾为意大利南部的雅典殖民地图里城制定过法典。一生旅居各地，收徒传授修辞和论辩知识，是当时最受人尊敬的“智者”。
