乔治·贝克莱(George Berkeley,1685年3月12日—1753年1月14日),出生于爱尔兰基尔肯尼的一个乡村绅士家庭,十八世纪的哲学家、近代经验主义的重要代表之一,开创了主观唯心主义。并对后世的经验主义的发展起到了重要影响。为纪念他加州大学的创始校区定名为加州大学伯克利分校(University of California, Berkeley)。
