天下人了解自己，那么就与天下人同甘苦共患难；天下人不了解自己，就巍然在天地之间而无所畏惧这是上等的勇敢。与孟子的“达则兼济天下，穷则独善其身”有异曲同工之妙，只要自己行得正，心中有善，或者要做的是超前的大事业，而别人不理解自己，有“燕雀安知鸿鹄之志”的无奈，也无需畏惧别人的眼光，坚守自我。
