树橘柚者，食之则甘，嗅之则香；树枳棘者，成而刺人。故君子慎所树。
译文：种植橘柚，吃起来是甜的，闻起来是香的；种植枳棘，长大了却会刺人。所以君子要谨慎地选择所要培养的人才。
